As most of you know, on August 31, 2016, we tragically lost Rebecca Weissbard during a jumping competition.  “Becca”, as known among family and friends, was 22 years old and was the recipient of an individual gold medal and team silver medal representing the USA at the Maccabiah Games in 2013. Becca wanted to be the best.  She worked hard, excelled and lived her passion.

In memory of Becca, a foundation, “Ride For Becca”, has been established which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  The program will serve and assist riders from the ages of 10-30 who are in need of financial support and guidance/instruction to help riders with potential to fulfill their dreams. The curriculum will include; clinics in braiding, maintenance, horse management, grooming, training, medical concerns, crisis intervention, horse showing, judging, horse showing psychology, and rehabilitation.  The mission statement is “Healing Horses, Hearts, and Minds” with the vision of finding the connection between kids with limited opportunities and unnoticed horses to foster mutual healing.

If you would like help keep Becca’s spirit alive and support her legacy, send your contribution to Sundance Stables.   Checks can be made payable to Ride For Becca and all donations are tax deductible.  For more information, please visit our website at rideforbecca.com.

Thank you in advance for your support.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Eric and Lynne Weissbard
